This policy explains what personal data InsiderAlerts collects, how we use it, and how we handle account, billing, delivery, and communications data when you use insideralerts.io and related services.
1. What we collect
- Account details: email address, password hash, account IDs, and verification-code state used to create and secure your account.
- Watchlist data: the ticker symbols and stock-list selections you add to your account.
- Telegram link data: Telegram user ID, username when available, and short-lived linking tokens if you connect Telegram.
- Subscription and billing state: plan, Stripe customer/subscription identifiers, billing status, renewal timing, pending changes, and invoice history metadata shown in your account area.
- Newsletter or onboarding email data: email address, subscription timing, and sequence status if you subscribe to email flows.
- Operational usage data: limited logs and request data needed to run, secure, and debug the service.
InsiderAlerts does not store your full card details. Stripe handles payment processing directly.
2. How we use your data
- To create, verify, secure, and maintain your account
- To manage your watchlist and stock-list selections
- To link and deliver alerts to Telegram when you choose to connect it
- To maintain your subscription state and billing records with Stripe
- To send onboarding or newsletter emails when you subscribe to them
- To support, troubleshoot, and improve the service
We do not sell your personal data to third parties for advertising purposes.
3. Public SEC source data
InsiderAlerts uses public SEC EDGAR materials as the source for filing-based alerts. We may store filing metadata, parsed transaction details, and related ticker-universe data so the product can monitor, summarise, and deliver alerts efficiently.
InsiderAlerts is not affiliated with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Public SEC source data may include delays, omissions, corrections, or errors.
4. Third-party services
- Stripe: payment processing and billing records
- Telegram: linked message delivery when you choose to connect it
- Resend or similar email providers: account verification and email communications
5. Retention
We retain account and service data for as long as needed to operate your account, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain fraud-prevention records. Some billing-related information may need to be retained longer than active watchlist data.
6. Your choices and rights
You can manage your watchlist, connected delivery options, and subscription settings inside the product. You may also contact support@insideralerts.io to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.
7. Account deletion
If you request account deletion, we will remove or de-identify account data from active systems where practical, subject to any records we must retain for billing, fraud prevention, security, or legal compliance.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes should be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
